Celebrating the centenary of votes for women
2018 marks the 100-year anniversary of the Representation of the People Act, which first gave women the right to vote. The act gave some women and all men the right to vote in local and national elections.
We want to use this year to remember the key figures from the suffragette and suffragist movements, including Emmeline Pankhurst and Millicent Fawcett, who had such an impact on our lives today.
Use the links below to celebrate with us as we look back on 100 years of votes for women and look ahead towards equal representation.
